Famous for its specialty in food and taste, the restaurant has its branches across Japan, with more international branches located in Macau, Taiwan, Austria and now, Sri Lanka.
The Makotoya project was initiated when restaurateur Masashi Kasai reached out to us in 2018. Once the initial discussions were completed, the project road map was formed under the supervision of BShion Star.
As per the primary requirement of Mr. Kasai, we were able to connect a Sri Lankan business partner with him, following a close screening process.
Once their strong business partnership was formed, we moved forward with assistance of administration, legal and logistics support for the project. This also entailed us obtaining crucial governmental approvals and permits to establish the business in Sri Lanka.
The restaurant’s location, meanwhile, was picked out specifically to meet the client’s large-scale vision to reach the Sri Lankan high-end customer base.
On 08th November 2019 Makotoya Japanese Restaurant opened its doors to Sri Lankan food lovers who did not hesitate to embrace this new exciting cuisine in a heartbeat.
